Exchange a foreign driving licence

All foreign conversion applicants should have received their driving licence at the minimum required 18 years of age as set out by Ugandan law.

If you were issued your licence before you made 18 years, you can continue to drive in Uganda without exchanging it for 6 months after arriving in the country.

If you have previously applied for/ processed a Ugandan driving licence, you do not qualify for the foreign conversion.
